An O2 diet is a diet that has lots of antioxidant rich foods. With this diet, you don’t rely on counting calories but you count oxygen radical absorbance capacity (ORAC) points. This number shows the antioxidant activity of the food you take. Antioxidants play a very crucial role in protecting the body from free radicals which can cause disease.

She goes on to advise dieters to add a serving of low fat dairy and whole grains (250 calories) to boost protein and calcium levels.

The aim of this diet is to achieve a total of 30,000 ORAC points daily. With this diet you can eat as many vegetables as you like, but you have to monitor the amount of fruits, carbs and fats you take in order to lose weight.
